Lauren Lilly has a full sports schedule at Three Oaks Senior High School (TOSH).
The 17-year-old daughter of Ian and Carol Lilly of Summerside is competing in five P.E.I. School Athletic Association senior sports in her Grade 11 year, and has been recognized as TOSH’s Greco Pizza/Capt. Sub student-athlete of the month.
Lauren, the 2017-18 TOSH senior female athlete of the year, played the power and setter positions in senior AAA volleyball, and guard in senior AAA basketball. In the spring, she will compete in badminton singles and doubles, play shortstop in softball and throw the javelin in track and field. She was named an all-star at the TOSH Sweetheart tournament, and was awarded a player-of-the-game award in every tournament this season.
Lauren’s success on the court and field can be attributed to a second-to-none work ethic, noted Three Oaks basketball coach Garth Turtle.
“Lauren works hard in practice and games, and is determined to improve her game,” added Turtle. “She is a great role model for her teammates.”
Outside of school, Lauren has played provincial basketball in the past, and she is also planning on playing softball this summer.
Lauren is considering pursuing a career in physical education after graduating from high school.
