Graham nets hat trick; Donovan Arsenault records five points

BATHURST, N.B. — Alex Graham, Donovan Arsenault and Austin Arsenault were the offensive catalysts for a short-staffed Kensington Monaghan Farms Wild squad Sunday afternoon.
Graham scored a hat trick and added an assist while Donovan Arsenault had one goal and four assists and Austin Arsenault contributed three assists in a 6-3 road victory over the Fredericton Caps.
The Wild, playing their third game in four days, had just 13 skaters available for the New Brunswick/Prince Edward Island Major Midget Hockey League contest due to injuries.
Matt McQuaid and Sam MacNeill also scored for the Wild, who now sits at 14-7-2 (won-lost-overtime losses). William Proud (2) and Kieran Rennie added other assists.
Noah Gibbs (1-1), Evan Rector and Zachary Graham answered for the Caps (13-12-0).
The Wild built period leads of 2-0 and 5-1.
Kensington was 0-for-4 on the power play and Fredericton went 2-for-5.
Jonah Arbing stopped 27 of 30 shots to earn the goaltending victory. Matthew Parker allowed five goals on 25 shots and Blake Green was beaten once on 16 shots in the Fredericton goal.
The Wild’s next game is in Charlottetown on Tuesday against the Bulk Carriers Knights (6-14-3). Puck drop at MacLauchlan Arena on the UPEI campus is set for noon.
Kensington’s next home game is against Fredericton on Saturday at 7:30 p.m.
