O’LEARY – The Tyne Valley Tornadoes had a strong showing in the West Prince Senior Hockey League on Saturday night.

The Tornadoes trimmed the O’Leary Maroons 8-1 before approximately 800 fans at the O’Leary Community Sports Centre.
TJ Campbell and Connor Dillon each scored a pair of goals to lead the Tornadoes. Single markers came off the sticks of Josh Darrach (1-1), Evan Shea (1-1), Spencer Phillips, Evan Ballum and Spencer Phillips. Mitchell Phillips added two assists.

Mike MacIsaac, assisted by Jeff MacIsaac and Darcy Tuplin, countered for O’Leary.
Tyne Valley took a 2-0 lead into the first intermission, and extended that margin to 6-1 after 40 minutes.
Jake Hackett earned the goaltending win.
