ABRAM-VILLAGE – The Wellington Flyers earned their first win of the 2018-19 West Prince Senior Hockey League on Sunday.

The Flyers prevailed 4-3 over the visiting Alberton Regals to improve to 1-1-1 (won-lost-overtime losses). The Regals fell to 0-2-0.
Before 500 fans at the Evangeline Recreation Centre, Sam Bernard, Nick Arsenault Matt Kelly and Owen Arsenault found the back of the net for the Flyers.
Willie Gaudet (2) and Logan Smallman countered for the Regals.

The Flyers held period leads of 2-1 and 3-2 in the tight game.
Neil Arsenault earned the goaltending win.
League action resumes on Friday, when the Regals visit the Tyne Valley Tornadoes ( 2-0-0) at 7:45 p.m. Saturday, the Flyers travel to O’Leary to take on the Maroons (2-1-0) at 8 p.m.
