SUMMERSIDE – Moncton Wildcats forward Jeremy McKenna of Summerside scored his 20th goal of the 2018-19 Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) regular season on Friday night.
McKenna found the back of the net at 16:31 of the second period to give the visiting Wildcats a 4-1 lead over the Sherbrooke Phoenix. Moncton would go on to win the game 6-3.
McKenna leads the QMJHL in scoring with 49 points in 29 regular-season games. He is two points up the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies’ Peter Abbandonato, who enters play Saturday with has goals and 34 assists for 47 points.
