ABRAM-VILLAGE – Stephanie Arsenault has been acknowledged for her commitments and dedication to the Evangeline School athletic program.
The Grade 11 student has been selected the school’s Greco Pizza/Capt. Sub student-athlete of the month. The 17-year-old daughter of Michelle and Donald Arsenault of Abram-Village competed in fall and spring volleyball, and teamed with senior male athlete of the year Evan Gallant in badminton mixed doubles.
“Steff is a very intense athlete,” said Evangeline School athletic director Jason Arsenault. “She has a good understanding of the game, has the ability to think under pressure and stays cool, calm and collected. She has a great attitude, and has no problem with constructive criticism from coaches.
“She has definitely been an asset to our athletic program since arriving in Grade 7.”
Outside of school, Stephanie played with the Western Wind of the P.E.I. Midget AAA Female Hockey League this past season. This summer, she is playing with the West Prince under-18 First Division soccer team and women’s orthodox softball in West Prince.
Stephanie hopes to become a school teacher following graduation from high school.
