Last weekend, many Newfoundlanders were dealing with the aftermath of hurricane Larry. The powerful storm made landfall near West Harbour, on the west coast of the Avalon at 1:30 Saturday morning. The following morning, the sky looked very different over the Bally Haly Golf Course in St John's, N.L. Thank you, Ronald O'Toole, for sharing some of the beauty that followed the beast.

Ominous skies over the Cabot Links Golf Course last Friday prompted Margy Krause to look up. That's when she spotted this waterspout. If you look closely, you can see the spray vortex on the water.

You don't have to go very far to find some relief from the heat. Nicole Moore watched as two of her children, Taylor (4) and Everly (1), had a blast and a splash or two on their back deck in Timberlea, N.S.
