There are very few weather systems on the continent today. The main feature is a large high-pressure system with a split-personality: the right-hand side of the high is cold but there’s very mild weather behind it. In terms of precipitation, there will be a light dusting of snow for some, as a weak upper trough swings across the region on the weekend. I don’t expect any significant accumulation from that one. The final week of the month will get off to a lovely and very mild start. The next system worth watching should begin to impact the western corner of our region late Tuesday into Wednesday. The rain/snow line will be draped across the region with snow to the north of it and rain on the south side. Right now it looks like a secondary and more intense system will follow in its tracks Thursday to Friday.
