CINDY'S SNAPSHOT: Have you ever seen anything like it?

Have you ever seen anything like it? It's a giant mullein plant. Marie and David Mossman live in Wolfville NS and their challenge is to grow the biggest and tallest mullein; it's been a friendly competition among family and friends now for several years. According to Dave: "The mullein is an interesting plant, common in the Valley, though, despite the renowned rich soil of the region, it seems to thumb its lofty nose, and chooses instead, relatively poor, rough terrain. Reportedly, uses range from its leaves serving as insoles, to numerous odd derivative medical properties." This year, David and Marie's plant is well over 7 feet tall; with all this heat, who knows how tall it will be by fall!
