CINDY'S SNAPSHOT: Capturing Cape Spear

While in Newfoundland last summer, I had the pleasure of visiting Cape Spear. Cape Spear is a headland located on the Avalon Peninsula, not far from St. John's. It is the easternmost point in Canada and North America, excluding Greenland. Gary Mitchell was fortunate to get these great photos on a fog-free day. These lighthouses were constructed in 1835 and operated from 1836 -1955 when a new concrete Lighthouse was installed.
