My favourite flower colour is orange, so I have noticed more orange tulips around than ever before.
To mark the 75th anniversary of the liberation of the Netherlands and commemorate the role Canada played in the Second World War, “Liberation 75” tulip bulbs were planted across the country last fall.
Michele Lawlor snapped this photo of the flower beds at Charlottetown City Hall when these beauties were at their peak. Money raised from the project is being donated to the Royal Canadian Legion.
