PRINCE EDWARD ISLAND: Cold blast won't last

Do whatever it takes to stay warm and safe and do the same for your pets during this brief cold snap; by Sunday, temperatures will be back to normal and in many cases above freezing. We’re on the cold side of the high-pressure system today but as it drifts eastward, the wind will come around to the southwest to warm things up for us. On Sunday, a fast-moving Alberta Clipper will bring a few showers or wet flurries but not much of either one. I have my eyes on a potential storm system that would move in late Tuesday: the cold side of the low could bring 20 cm of snow with close to 30 mm of rain on the south side of the system. Stay tuned!
