SUMMERSIDE: If you don’t like winter, just wait

A low-pressure system approaches the Maritimes late this evening, and although the bulk of it may remain offshore, we can expect as much as 5 cm along the coast before it moves off and brings additional accumulations for portions of Newfoundland. An area of high pressure moves in after that bringing clearing conditions but cool temperatures on the weekend. That all changes early into next week as a sprawling system arrives with almost Spring-like temperatures and a good deal of rain for the entire region before we return to more seasonable temperatures.
