CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — Avan Nava had 20 points and Azaro Roker chipped in 13 points and 14 rebounds to lead the St. FX X-Men to a 85-76 victory over the UPEI Panthers Saturday in Atlantic University Sport men’s basketball action.

Justin Andrew scored 16 in the victory while Dondre Reddick chipped in 15 off the bench.

Elijah Miller had 20 points, eight assists, five rebounds and two steals to lead the Panthers. Dakelle Brooks scored 18 while Jamesley Jerome had 18 points, eight rebounds and three assists off the bench.

The X-Men held quarter leads of 23-20, 43-37 and 61-50. St. FX had a better shooting percentage from the field (45-36) while the Panthers held the advantage from three-point territory (35-21 per cent) and the free-throw line (83-68). The X-Men did shoot 13 more free throws.

St. FX improved to 7-6 while UPEI is 3-10. The Panthers won Friday's game 94-69.

The Panthers head to Fredericton, N.B., for a four-point game Saturday at UNB (9-5).
