SUMMERSIDE, P.E.I. — Three members of the Summerside Township Chevys combined to throw a no-hitter in a recent P.E.I. Mosquito AA Baseball League game.
Cohen Woods, Casey Johnson and Brady DesRoches did the trick in a recent 13-4 win over the Bedeque Blue Jackets at Queen Elizabeth Park’s Gordie Arsenault Field.
Offensively, the Chevys were led by the 2-for-2 batting performances by Ben Connolly and Ashton Desroches. Woods also chipped offensively with a 2-for-3 summary.
Alex Gaudet, Brandy Warren and Quincey Palmer each walked and scored for Bedeque.
Caden Gallant was the pitcher of record for the Blue Jackets.
Defeat Crushers
In other recent action, also at the Gordie Arsenault Field, the Chevys defeated the Kensington Crusaders 14-6.
Ashton Desroches, with relief help from Jackson Ramsay, Harper Leard and Ben MacGregor, picked up the pitching win.
The Chevys were led at the plate by Jackie Arsenault (3-3) and Connolly (2-2, walk, home run).
The Crusaders’ top hitters were Holden Woodside (1-1, two walks) and Tobin MacEwen (1-3).
Liam MacDonald was the pitcher of record for Kensington.
