SUMMERSIDE – The Western Wind posted a 6-3 victory over the Central Storm in a P.E.I. Midget AAA Female Hockey League game at Credit Union Place on Thursday night.
Gracyn Handrahan and Hilarie Gaudet each scored twice while single goals came off the sticks of Josee Gallant and Paige Deighan to account for Western’s scoring. Emma Dyer, Tianna Gallant and Cailin Gaudet added helpers.
Jessica Turbide (1-1), Kayla MacIsaac and Katelyn Drake responded for the Charlottetown-based Storm. Kaylee McCabe, Jessie Campbell and Chloe McCabe drew assists.
The period scores were 1-0 and 4-3 in favour of the Wind.
Danielle Gallant earned the goaltending win.
