ALBERTON – The undefeated Western Regals hit the 20-win mark in the P.E.I. Midget AAA Hockey League on Saturday night.
The Regals erupted for six first-period goals on their way to a 9-1 decision over the visiting Pownal Red Devils at the Jacques Cartier Arena.
James Doyle (2-2), Kalim DesRoches (2), Thomas Rennie (2), Kennedy Gallant (2) and Sam Hackett (1-1) scored for the Regals. Other assists went to Jacob Hogan (2), Ethan Oliver, Michael MacRae, Thomas Shea, Matt Williams and Chase Gaudette.
Carson Lund, assisted by Larkin Kennedy, netted the lone goal for Pownal (5-13-3).
Aiden Williams picked up the goaltending win.
