SUMMERSIDE, P.E.I. — The Summerside D. Alex MacDonald Ford Western Capitals have announced a scheduling change in the Maritime Junior Hockey League.
The Caps’ home game against the Truro Bearcats that was scheduled for Monday, Feb. 17, will now be played at Eastlink Arena on Sunday, Feb. 16, at 7 p.m.
This will be the Bearcats’ only visit to P.E.I. during the regular season.
The Caps sit atop the 12-team league’s overall standings at 30-5-1 (won-lost-overtime losses) and the Bearcats (14-11-7) are in a four-team battle for second place in the Eastlink South Division.
Truro is currently fifth, but only three points out of second place.
The Caps' next home game is Saturday against the Fredericton Red Wings (21-13-2).
