CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — The UPEI Panthers women’s hockey team is ranked third in the country – its highest ranking in the team's history.

The Panthers (17-4-1) moved up two spots in this week’s U Sports top-10 rankings. They trail only top-ranked Concordia (11-1-2) and conference rival Saint Mary’s (17-3-1).

UPEI, which will host the nationals March 12-15, travels to Antigonish, N.S., on Friday to play St. FX (16-5-1) at 7 p.m. before hosting UNB (13-8-0) Sunday at 3 p.m. The X-Women also received votes in this week’s national rankings and landed as an honorable mention.
