FARGO, ND – The Summerside Chrysler Dodge Eagles’ run in the AA Major Division at the 2018 North American Fastpitch Association (NAFA) World Series came to an end on Friday afternoon.

The Eagles lost 15-0 to the defending-champion Portland Brewers from Oregon in the semifinals. The Brewers went on to meet the Kansas City Monarchs in the final later in the day.
After dropping their first two games Wednesday, the Eagles got in the win column by starting off a busy Thursday with a 17-3 triumph over the Star Prairie Orangemen from Wisconsin in a noon-hour start. The Eagles then dropped a close 3-2 decision to the Monarchs in the afternoon, before rebounding to top the Northwest Braves 8-2 in the evening to stay alive.
Friday morning, the Eagles pulled out a 5-3 win in eight innings over the California Buzzards to reach the semifinals.
The Eagles’ overall record in the three-day tournament was 3-4 (won-lost).
