SUMMERSIDE, P.E.I. — Two Summerside Western Capitals’ rookies have been recalled by Quebec Major Junior Hockey League teams for games Wednesday night.
Forward Bennett MacArthur will join the Acadie-Bathurst Titan while Isaac Wilson, who plays forward and defence, will rejoin the Moncton Wildcats. The Titan hosts the Cape Breton Eagles in Bathurst, N.B., while the Wildcats visit the Saint John Sea Dogs.
MacArthur, an 18-year-old Summerside native, will be making his second appearance with the Titan this year. He is third in Caps’ team scoring with 19 goals and 18 assists for 37 points in 27 regular-season games.

The 17-year-old Wilson, who is from Vernon River, is no stranger to the Wildcats as he has a goal and an assist in six regular-season games with the Wildcats this year. He has three goals and seven assists for 10 points in 21 regular-season games with the Caps.
Two other rookie Caps – forward Colby MacArthur of Summerside and defenceman Zach Biggar of Portage – are playing with Team Canada East at this week’s World Junior A Hockey Challenge in Dawson Creek, B.C.
MacArthur, Wilson, MacArthur and Biggar played with the Kyle Dunn-coached Kensington Wild major midget team last season.

The Billy McGuigan-coached Caps, who are 15-0-1 (won-lost-overtime losses) in their last 16 games, sit atop the Maritime Junior Hockey League’s overall standings at 23-3-1. The Caps were ranked third in this week’s Canadian Junior Hockey League rankings.

Summerside is back in action on Thursday in New Glasgow, N.S., against the Pictou County Crushers (15-8-1) and hosts the Miramichi Timberwolves (8-15-4) on Saturday at 7 p.m.
