Franz Wagner scored a season-high 21 points, leading third-ranked Michigan to a 79-57 win over ninth-ranked Iowa in a Big Ten game on Thursday night at Ann Arbor, Mich.
Wagner, who made 9 of 12 field-goal attempts, including 2 of 3 from 3-point range, fell one point short of his career high. Michigan also got 16 points from Isaiah Livers, who made 4 of 5 from long distance.
The Wolverines (17-1, 12-1 Big Ten) earned their sixth straight win and improved to 12-0 at home. Iowa (17-7, 11-6) had its four-game win streak snapped. The Hawkeyes are 5-4 on the road.
Iowa's 6-foot-11 senior Luka Garza, who entered the game as the nation's leading scorer at 24.7 points per game, had an off night. Garza, a consensus first-team All-American last season, was held to 16 points on 6-for-19 shooting.

Corey Kispert scored 25 points as the Bulldogs overcame a slow start to defeat the Broncos in Spokane, Wash.
Drew Timme scored 16 of his 18 points in the second half and Jalen Suggs added 13 points, 11 rebounds and eight assists for Gonzaga (23-0, 14-0 West Coast Conference). It was the Bulldogs' 20th consecutive victory by double digits, tying the record for consecutive double-digit wins by a No. 1 set by the undefeated national champion 1971-72 UCLA Bruins.
Guglielmo Caruso led Santa Clara (10-7, 4-5) with 19 points. Giordan Williams scored 18 and Josip Vrankic added 14 points and 11 rebounds.
Michigan State 71, No. 4 Ohio State 67
Aaron Henry scored 18 points and the Spartans rallied down the stretch to upset the Buckeyes in East Lansing, Mich., continuing a late-season surge.
Gabe Brown added 11 points for Michigan State (13-9, 7-9 Big Ten), which bolstered its chances for an at-large bid in the NCAA Tournament by earning a third consecutive win.
E.J. Liddell's 18 points led Ohio State, while Duane Washington Jr. scored 11 of his 17 points in the first half. The Buckeyes (18-6, 12-6) have lost two games in a row for the first time this season.

Kofi Cockburn scored a game-high 24 points and Andre Curbelo nearly collected a triple-double as the Fighting Illini won their first game without injured star Ayo Dosunmu, dumping the Cornhuskers in Champaign, Ill.
Adam Miller added 18 points for Illinois (17-6, 13-4 Big Ten). Jacob Grandison contributed 14 while Curbelo stuffed the stat sheet with 10 points, 12 rebounds and eight assists, helping Illinois control the glass 43-29.
Trey McGowens scored 18 points to pace the Cornhuskers (5-17, 1-14), playing their fourth game in eight days. Reserves Kobe Webster and Shamiel Stevenson each added 12, but Nebraska took its fifth consecutive loss.
No. 12 Houston 81, Western Kentucky 57
Junior Quentin Grimes sank a career-best eight 3-pointers en route to a career-high 33 points as the Cougars rolled past the Hilltoppers in Houston.
Houston (19-3) fell behind early in the second half before tightening the defensive screws to fuel their victory. Marcus Sasser and Tramon Mark each had 12 points for the Cougars.
Taveion Hollingsworth paced the Hilltoppers (15-5) with 17 points. Western Kentucky couldn't overcome 20 turnovers.
Colorado 80, No. 19 Southern California 62
Jeriah Horne came off the bench to score 24 points and grab 11 rebounds, leading the Buffaloes to a win over the Trojans in Boulder, Colo.
Colorado (18-7, 12-6 Pac-12) kept Southern California from taking another step toward clinching the conference regular-season title. McKinley Wright IV, who holds the Buffaloes' career assist record, dished out a career-high 14 assists to go with 15 points.
Tahj Eaddy and Evan Mobley scored 13 points each to lead the Trojans (19-5, 13-4), who lost for the second time in three games.
No. 22 San Diego State 78, Boise State 66 (OT)
Matt Mitchell recorded 24 points and nine rebounds and the Aztecs recovered from blowing a 17-point lead to post an overtime victory over the Broncos in San Diego.
Senior Trey Pulliam matched his career high of 18 points as the Aztecs (18-4, 12-3 Mountain West) recorded their ninth consecutive victory. Terrell Gomez contributed 10 points and three steals for the Aztecs.
Senior Derrick Alston Jr. matched a career best of six 3-pointers while scoring a season-high 29 points for Boise State (18-5, 4-4). Devonaire Doutrive added 10 points for the Broncos, who had a four-game winning streak halted.
