CORNWALL – It was a four-point weekend for the Tignish Perry’s Construction Aces in the Razzy’s P.E.I. Junior Hockey League.

The Aces trimmed the Summerside Cover-All Construction Crunch 12-3 on Friday night, and posted a 6-2 road decision over the North River Flames on Saturday evening. In the league’s other weekend game, the Crunch edged the Southside Lynx 6-5 in overtime.

Aces 6, Flames 2

At the APM Centre in Cornwall, Skyler Phillips (2-1), Drake Smallman (1-1), Dawson Sellick (1-1), Riley Avery (1-1) and Morgan Grigg (1-1) scored for the Aces, who sit in second place at 3-2-0 (won-lost-overtime losses). Jaden Arthur added two assists.

Drew Nelson and Ethan MacFadyen countered for North River (0-5-0).

Tignish held period leads of 2-0 and 4-1.

Winning goaltender McGuire Gallant made 29 saves.

Aces 12, Crunch 3

At the Tignish Credit Union Arena, the Aces built period advantages of 4-2 and 6-3.

Grigg (2-1), Oliver Smallman (2-1), Sellick (1-4), Brayden Handrahan (1-2), Kane Arsenault (1-2), Phillips (1-1), Arthur (1-1), Brydon Smith (1-1), Bryar Smallman (1-1) and Brayden Arsenault (1-1) accounted for Tignish’s goals. Will Tuplin contributed a pair of helpers.

Brandon Arsenault (1-1), Kolton Stright and Tristan Gallant answered for the Crunch.

Crunch 6, Lynx 5 (OT)

At the South Shore Actiplex in Crapaud, Brandon Arsenault’s second goal of the game at the three-minute mark of overtime lifted the Crunch to victory.

Remi Arsenault (2), James Birt (1-1) and Ryan May (1-1) also scored for the Crunch (2-3-0). Connor Jones (3), Carter Melnick (2) and Kyle Kennedy (2) had multiple-assist efforts.

Daniel Collister (1-2), Chandler Dawson (1-2), Tyson Beckingham (1-1), Drew Grady and Nathan Paynter replied for the Lynx (2-0-1), who held period leads of 2-0 and 3-2.

Izaac Ford made 31 saves in earning the goaltending win.
