TIGNISH, P.E.I. - The Tignish Aces lost at home but won on the road to split their opening weekend of play in the 2018-19 P.E.I. West Division Peewee A Hockey League.

At Tignish Credit Union Arena on Saturday, North River Flames Team Three got by the Aces 9-3. On Sunday at the Credit Union Place Ice Pad, the Aces defeated the Summerside Capitals Team One 3-1.

Saturday in Tignish

North River Flames Team Three 9, Tignish Aces 3.

Scoring for the Flames: Colin Dorion (3-3) Ashton Cormier (3), Nathan Dawson (1-1)Daniel Trainor and Griffin Jamieson. Aiden Havenga added an assist. Cam Demmings picked up the goaltending win.

Scoring for the Aces: Neville Richard (1-1), Jameson Perry (1-1) and Hunter Perry. Jerry McInnis had an assist. Goaltending duties for the Aces were shared by Michael Doucette and Kacey Kennedy.

Sunday in Summerside

Tignish Aces 3, Summerside Capitals Team One 1.

Scoring for the Aces: Justin Chaisson (2-1), and Jameson Perry. Kacey Kennedy and Michael Doucette shared the goaltending victory.

Scoring for the Capitals: Luke Blacquiere from Cole Cormier. Deacon Maddix was in goal.
