ABRAM-VILLAGE, P.E.I. — Sports are a big part of Stephanie Arsenault’s life, especially at Evangeline School.

So much so that the Grade 12 student was recently named the school’s Greco Pizza/Capt. Sub student-athlete of the month.
The 18-year-old daughter of Michelle and Donald Arsenault of Abram-Village played the power position in P.E.I. School Athletic Association senior volleyball in the fall and is playing senior badminton doubles in the spring. She also plays spring volleyball out of Evangeline School.
“Stephanie is a strong player physically and skill-wise,” said Evangeline School athletic director Jason Arsenault, who praised her ability to read the game. “She is a good leader on the court and is not one to fold under pressure.
“Stephanie has been a huge asset to our sports program here since 2013. There’s nothing she can’t do if she puts her mind to it.”
Stephanie is very active in sports outside of school. For example, she plays recreational hockey with an Evangeline women’s team, she played on the West Prince Storm under-18 soccer team last summer and plans to play with West Prince’s senior women’s team this summer. She also plays summer softball.

School life
Stephanie is also very active in school life. For example, she is vice-president of the student council, co-president of the yearbook committee and vice-president of the Grade 12 committee.
Stephanie, who has a goal of becoming a teacher, plans to begin studying education at UPEI in September.
