In penalty kicks vs. Rangers

EAST ROYALTY – The Summerside United has advanced to the championship game of the Subway P.E.I. Under-18 Boys Soccer League (First Division).
The United pulled out a 1-0 victory over the Sherwood-Parkdale Rangers that required six penalty kicks from each team to decide a winner of Thursday night’s nail-biting semifinal game at the Parkman Soccer Complex.

Keepers Julien Robichaud (Summerside) and Mahmoud Moustafa (Sherwood-Parkdale) were perfect through regulation and overtime.

It was the United second road win of the playoffs after a 2-1 victory against the Morell Strikers in quarter-final action on Aug. 16.
Summerside will face the Eliot River Ramblers in the provincial championship game on Saturday. That contest, which will be played at the Stratford Soccer Complex, is scheduled to get underway at 11:45 a.m.
