CHARLOTTETOWN – The Sherwood-Parkdale Rangers and Eliot River Ramblers captured the Premier Division titles at the Subway under-13 provincial soccer championships.

The Rangers rallied to defeat the Winsloe/Charlottetown Royals in penalty kicks to win the girls’ title, and the Ramblers downed Sherwood-Parkdale 3-1 in the boys’ final.
In the girls’ gold-medal game, the Royals took a 2-0 lead into halftime on goals by Alice Dorsey and Maggie Mullins.
Emma Matheson and an own goal pulled the Rangers even in the second half. Extra time could not decide a winner, and penalty kicks were required.
In the bronze-medal game, Kristyn Taylor scored the lone goal in the 61st minute to give Summerside United a 1-0 win over Eliot River. Lauren Clark recorded the shutout.

In the boys’ final, James Doucette scored twice in the second half to send the regular-season-champion Ramblers to the provincial championship.
The Ramblers’ Malcolm MacDonald and the Royals’ Caleb Gagne had exchanged first-half goals.
Winsloe/Charlottetown received goals from Tony Nguyen, Christian Ndayegamiye and Ben Hashimotoin in a 3-0 win over Summerside in the bronze medal match.
Jack Dickie recorded the shutout.
