The action will continue on Sunday in Moncton, N.B., when the Hurricanes will meet the Crandall Chargers. The start times on both days have the women kicking things off at 2 p.m., followed by the men at 4 p.m.
The Holland College men’s team features a mix of returning veterans and new recruits.  They will look to start strong on the road in 2017 as they attempt to defend their Atlantic Collegiate Athletic Association (ACAA) championships from the past three seasons.
Head coach Jonathan Vos has been impressed with what he’s witnessed during the team’s training camp.
“We’re looking forward to getting things started,” he shared. “The team has been training hard for the past two weeks, and we’re anxious to step onto the field this weekend in Truro and Moncton.”

Women’s team
The Holland College women’s team, coming off an ACAA-championship-winning season in 2016, has a solid core of returning players mixed with an impressive group of rookies. Coach Kris McKinnon is happy with what he has saw during the past few weeks on the field.
“Our players are excited to get the season started,” he shared. “We have been focused on our goal to challenge for another ACAA title, and this weekend will be a great test.”
