TYNE VALLEY – The Tyne Valley Tornadoes are off to a hot start in the West Prince Senior Hockey League.

Evan Ballum scored two goals to pace the Tornadoes to a 6-2 victory over the Alberton Regals on Friday night. The victory, which came before a capacity crowd at the Tyne Valley Community Sports Centre, improved the Tornadoes’ record to 3-0 (won-lost).
Kendall Grigg, Mitchell Phillips, Adam MacLennan and Evan Shea rounded out Tyne Valley’s scoring.
Garrett Lewis and Jesse MacIntyre replied for the Regals, who dropped to 0-3.
Tyne Valley jumped out to a 2-0 lead after the opening 20 minutes, and took a 5-1 advantage into the second intermission.
Winning goaltender was Jeff Noye.
League action resumes on Saturday as the Wellington Flyers visit the O’Leary Maroons in an 8 p.m. start.
