CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. - Goals came at just the right time for the Pownal Taco Boyz Red Devils as it scored three times over a one-minute span in the third period and notched a 6-2 win over the Moncton Hawks in interlocking midget AAA play with the New Brunswick league.
With Pownal leading 3-2 halfway through the third, Will MacDougall, Noah Brehaut and Adam Richards lit the red lamp at 16:53, 17:30 and 17:55, respectively.
Brehaut also notched a first-period score. Lance Kennedy and Sam Valois (1-1) had the other Pownal scores.
Cameron Jack and Kyler Lively tallied the Hawks goals.
Logan Birt earned the goaltending win over Lucas Burrows.
Pownal led 2-1 after the first period and 3-2 at the second intermission.
The teams combined to go 2-for-11 on the power play.
