CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. – The UPEI Panthers were outscored 20-2 in the second quarter Saturday in losing 84-47 to the Saint Mary’s Huskies in Atlantic University Sport men’s basketball action.

The Huskies held a 14-13 advantage after one quarter but after the big second quarter went to the halftime break leading 34-15 and never looked back. The Huskies outscored the Panthers in the third 24-16 to go to the fourth up 58-31.

Johneil Johnson had 13 points to pace a balanced Huskies attack that saw four players score 10 or more points.

Judy Georges had 12 points and was the lone Panther to score 10 or more. He also had team highs of seven rebounds and two assists while tying with his twin brother Nudy for the lead in steals with two.

The Huskies improved to a conference-leading 5-0 while the Panthers fell to 3-3. UPEI is in Fredericton, N.B., to play the UNB Varsity Reds on Saturday, Nov. 24 in the final game of the first semester.
