ST. JOHN'S, N.L. — Royal St. John’s Regatta Committee saw two new members join its board of directors at this year's Annual General Meeting.

Susie Ennis was elected as secretary, and Campbell Feehan joins as a director for the boathouse and pond, a role previous filled by Ashley Peach, who will now oversee rowing relations. Meanwhile, former secretary Candace Moakler is now in charge of sponsorships.

The 2021 season marks the second of two-year terms for president Bradley Power and Noelle Thomas-Kennell, vice-president and captain of the course.

The rest of the committee includes, immediate past-president Chris Neary, Lynn Healey (treasurer), Scott Winsor (director of ground space), Tracey Shute (director of communications), Sheridan Yetman (director of hospitality), and executive director LeighAnne O'Neill.

The 2020 Regatta was cancelled due to COVID-19 restrictions, leading the committee to pivot with a virtual run, a series of health and wellness sessions and an indoor rowing challenge.

"We don’t know what 2021 holds but, we’re prepared to make the absolute best of whatever situation we find ourselves in, with the rowing community at the forefront of our mind," Thomas-Kennell stated in a press release.
