LOUISDALE, N.S. —

The annual Rock Ya Like A Hurricane high school hockey tournament will not take place this year in Louisdale.

The tournament, hosted by the Richmond Academy Hurricanes, was cancelled this season because of lack of teams, according to head coach Robert MacDonad.

The Division 2 tournament would have marked its fifth year this season.

Last year, the tournament featured four teams including the host Hurricanes, Inverness/Baddeck Rebels, Dalbrae Dragons and Cole Harbour Cavaliers.

Fellow Cape Breton West High School Hockey League representatives, Eskasoni and Strait Area Education Recreation Centre, did not participate in the 2018 edition of the tournament.

The tournament usually takes place the first week in December each year.
