INVERNESS, N.S. — Newly signed Montreal Canadiens goaltender Jake Allen was recently on the greens at Cabot Links.

Allen, a Fredericton product, along with three friends were in Cape Breton for a weekend of golf in mid-September.

In a tweet posted on Sept. 22, Allen said "Thanks to @cabotlinks for a great weekend! See you in 2021."

The 30-year-old has played seven seasons in the NHL, winning a Stanley Cup with the Blues in 2019. He was recently traded to Montreal, where he signed a two-year contract extension worth an annual value of $2.875 million.
