SYDNEY, N.S. — A former Cape Breton Eagles' invite scored his first career Quebec Major Junior Hockey League goal on Sunday.

Forward Marc-Olivier Racine-Roy opened the scoring for the Val-d’Or Foreurs in the team’s 5-1 victory over the Rimouski Océanic at the Centre Air Creebec in Val-d’Or, Que.

The 18-year-old, who was recently called up by the Foreurs, was invited to the Eagles training camp in 2019. He was later cut by the team and invited to the Foreurs’ training camp.

He has played in three games for Val-d’Or this season.
