SYDNEY — Erin Denny can add another accomplishment to her growing list of success in hockey.
The MacIntyre Chevy Panthers forward was recently named the Nova Scotia Female Midget ‘AAA’ Hockey League most valuable player after finishing fifth in the league in points (28).
The Eskasoni product captained the Panthers last season and recently committed to playing for Saint Mary’s University in the Atlantic University Sport.
Panthers’ teammate Molly Baxendale was given the league’s most sportsmanlike award, while Shann Cox was named to the league’s second all-star team.
Meanwhile, Emma Swansburg and Jessica MacLean, both of the Panthers, were named to the rookie all-star team. Paul Carroll was recognized with the league volunteer award.
