Cape Breton player to suit up for Mount Allison Mounties

Molly Baxendale will wear the garnet and gold for the Mount Allison Mounties women's hockey team this fall.

Baxendale, who is from Dalem Lake, was assistant captain of the MacIntyre Chevy Panthers this past season. The forward was third in team scoring after a season shortened by injury, but came back to lead the club in scoring in the playoffs and was named Nova Scotia Female Midget 'AAA' Hockey League's most sportsmanlike player for the 2019-20 season.

She began playing hockey with the Northside Vikings in the Northside and District Minor Hockey Association through peewee, then transferred to the Cape Breton Female Bantam 'AA' program with Glace Bay Minor Hockey before joining the Chevy Panthers team.
