P.E.I. Sports Hall of Fame and Museum golf event set for Aug. 24

MILL RIVER – The first friends of the 50th anniversary celebration of the P.E.I. Sports Hall of Fame and Museum will be held at the Mill River Resort on Friday, Aug. 24, beginning at 1 p.m.

The event’s title sponsors are the Credit Unions in Tignish, Summerside and Kensington.
The format will be a four-person scramble, with a meet and greet to precede the event at noon. A dinner will follow the golf at 6 p.m.
Canadian icon and former Summerside schoolteacher Anne Murray will be the special guest.
Registration begins at $600 per four-member team.

The P.E.I. Sports Hall of Fame was founded in 1968, and is located at Credit Union Place in Summerside and is open to the public.
