CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — It was a productive weekend for P.E.I. FC in the McCain New Brunswick Premier Soccer League.
P.E.I. swept a pair of games from the Fredericton Reds at UPEI to improve its league-leading record to 6-1 (won-lost).
Nathan Ford earned the shutout while Nacho Sanchez, Jared Murphy and Mo Jaber scored in P.E.I.’s 3-0 win on Saturday.
Sunday, Jaber (2), Murphy, Alex O’Brien, Lucas Ross and Khalil Sow found the back of the net for P.E.I. in a 6-3 victory.
Josh Niyonkuru, Ken Morrison and Santi Montalvan replied for Fredericton.
