CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. - The Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour lands at Scotia Speedworld on Saturday for the Nova Truck Centres Make-A-Wish 150.
It’s round four of 12 for the elite stock car racing series and the second of only four visits to the Dartmouth, N.S. oval.
Grandstand opens at 3 p.m., qualifying starts at 6 p.m.
Cole Butcher of Porter’s Lake, N.S. leads the championship standings by 24 points over Shawn Turple (Enfield, N.S.), who jumped into second after his first win of the season last weekend.
Dylan Blenkhorn (Truro, N.S.) falls to third after leading the points last week, while Craig Slaunwhite (Terence Bay, N.S.) and Darren MacKinnon (Charlottetown) hold the fourth and fifth positions respectively and well within striking distance of the top three.
The MJS and Prime Lift East Coast Mini Stock Tour debuts with the Passione Flooring and Interiors 50-lap feature before the main event.
Island drivers Matt Watson (Miscouche), multi-time winner at Oyster Bed Speedway and two-time Eastern Super Mini Cup Series champion leads the Island contingent which also includes Jamie Cummings (Charlottetown), Cody Byrne (Orwell Cove) and Tyler Larkin (Montague).
