KENSINGTON – Reid Peardon’s late third-period goal earned the Kings County Kings a point on Tuesday night.
Peardon scored at 17:43 of the third period to lift the Kings into a 2-2 tie with the Mid-Isle Matrix in a P.E.I. Midget AAA Hockey League game at Community Gardens.
Jacob MacEachern also scored for the Kings, who are 1-0-1 (won-lost-tied). Lucas MacAulay, Riley Jamieson and Tyson McInnis drew assists.
Colin Goodwin and Kyler Weeks answered for the Matrix (3-0-1). Single helpers went to Chandler LaPorte, Brett MacDonald and Nick Trainor.
The Matrix led 2-1 after the first and second periods.
Goaltenders were Ben Bruce (Kings) and Matt Jelley (Matrix).
