NEW GLASGOW, N.S. — Two players from Stratford scored goals for their respective teams in the Maritime Junior Hockey League (MHL) on Thursday night.

Sophomore forward and assistant captain Lucas Parsons recorded his first two goals and points of the 2020-21 season in helping the Truro Bearcats to a 6-4 road win over the host Pictou County Crushers in New Glasgow, N.S.

Parsons tied the game 2-2 at 18:04 of the first period and then sealed Truro's victory with an empty-net goal in the game's final minute.

In Bridgewater, N.S., Sam MacNeill's second goal of the season at 7:28 of the first period staked the South Shore Lumberjacks to a 2-0 lead over the Yarmouth Mariners, who would go on to win the contest 6-4.

MacNeill has three points in nine regular-season games.
