SUMMERSIDE, P.E.I. — The Summerside United will play in the championship game of the Subway P.E.I. Under-18 Girls Soccer League (Premier Division).

The United advanced to the winner-take-all final at UPEI in Charlottetown on Thursday at 7:15 p.m., with a 6-1 semifinal victory over RC United on Tuesday night.
The United will take on the winner of Tuesday’s other semifinal game between the Winsloe/Charlottetown Royals and Sherwood-Parkdale Rangers.
At Eric Johnston Field in Summerside, two quick goals early by Ellen Cole in the seventh minute and Ellen Murphy in the ninth minute got the United off to a quick start.
Jaden Grant scored for RC United in the 38th minute to cut the United’s lead in half, but Brianna McCardle found the back of the net in the 44th minute to send Summerside into the break up 3-1.
Hayden Chaisson scored twice and Hannah LeClair added a single tally in the second half to round out Summerside’s scoring.
