Storm loses to Titans 111-98

CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. – The Island Storm dropped its third straight game Sunday with a 111-98 loss to the Kitchener-Waterloo Titans, who occupy the National Basketball League of Canada basement.

The Titans held quarter leads of 27-21, 52-50 and 81-74.

Kevin Rogers and Tramar Sutherland led the visitors, scoring 24 and 23 points, respectively. Darren Duncan had 11 points and 16 assists while Derek Hall had 16 points and 12 rebounds.

Franklin Session led the Storm with 25 points, 12 rebounds, five assists, two steals and a block. Chris Anderson had 21 points and 10 rebounds while Du’Vaughn Maxwell had 11 points, eight rebounds, eight assists, two steals and two blocks. Chris Johnson scored 14 to go with eight dimes and six boards.

The Titans improved to 4-17 while the Storm is 10-14, including 2-8 in its past 10 games.

The Storm hits the road for Ontario this week with games at London on Thursday and Windsor on Friday.
