ST. JOHN’S, N.L. — Desmond Lee had a game high 31 points, including six rebounds as the St. John’s Edge downed the Island Storm 123-116 Sunday in National Basketball League of Canada action at Mile One Centre.
Carl English also had a big game for the Edge, pumping in 23 points, including five rebounds and nine assists.
Sampson Carter led the Storm with 28 points, including 10 rebounds. Alex Campbell and Russell Byrd each had 25 points for the Storm.
With the win, St. John improves to 4-5 on the season while the Storm slips to 2-4.
The Island Storm are back in action on Friday when they visit the Sudbury Five.
