CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — Three Islanders each scored two tries to pace the P.E.I. Abbies to a 56-28 come-from-behind victory over the New Brunswick Spruce in Eastern Canadian super league rugby action.

Charlie Waddell, Liam Carter and Dominique Ryan each had a pair while singles went to Spencer Massiah, Jordan Arsenault and Isaiah Hood.

Alex Hall chipped in four converts and a penalty kick at UPEI.

New Brunswick took the early lead but P.E.I. responded to go to the halftime break up 22-21.

The Abbies defeated the Spruce 34-11 on April 20 in New Brunswick. The super league has provincial teams competing against each other.
