Brianna McCardle put the ball in the net and Kyrsten Coyle kept it out in leading the Summerside United to a victory in the Subway P.E.I. Under-18 Girls Soccer League (Premier Division) on Tuesday night.
McCardle scored both goals while Coyle registered the clean sheet as the United blanked the visiting Sherwood-Parkdale Rangers 2-0 at Eric Johnston Field.
McCardle opened the scoring in the 41st minute and added an insurance marker in the 75th minute as Summerside improved its league record to 8-0-4 (won-lost-tied).
The second-place Rangers fell to 4-4-4.
