CORNWALL, P.E.I. — The Holland Hurricanes swept the Mount Saint Vincent University (MSVU) Mystics in Atlantic Collegiate Athletic Association (ACAAA) soccer play at the Terry Fox Sports Complex in Cornwall on Saturday.
Emily LaPine scored two goals early in the second half to lift the Holland College women to a 2-0 win. Nicole McInnis registered the clean sheet.
In men’s play, Kaito Yamamoto, Alex Lourenso and Corey Mullett scored in the Hurricanes’ 3-1 victory. Dominic Stutz answered for the Mystics.
The Hurricanes led 2-0 at halftime.
Devon Griffin was the winning keeper.
It was the opening games for all four teams after last weekend’s schedule was postponed due to hurricane Dorian.
Both Holland College teams host the University of King’s College Blue Devils at the Terry Fox Sports Complex on Sunday. The women’s game starts at 1 p.m., followed by the men at 3 p.m.
