VERNON BRIDGE, P.E.I. – Ron Garrett shot a 1-over par 73 to win by three strokes over Wade Gauthier and Alan Montgomery and take the first Experience Hyundai Senior Men’s Fall Golf Tour event of the season.
At Avondale Golf Club, Gauthier and Montgomery each shot 76’s followed by Al Aitken, Ken Fraser and Marty Koughan who all shot 78.
In the super senior division, Roger Perreaux shot a 76 to win by four strokes over George Stewart and Gerry Campbell, who both shot 80, followed by Errol Taylor, Mike Sullivan, Sean Joyce, Bill Arsenault and Jamie Lund all with 81.
The next tour stop is Monday, Sept. 10, at Fox Meadow Golf Club in Stratford. First tee off is 11 a.m.
