CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — The Holland College Hurricanes badminton teams face the music this weekend at the Atlantic Collegiate Athletic Association championships in Sackville, N.B.
The team competition begins today at noon. Points are earned in each category and the team with the highest total points takes the title.
Singles matches go Sunday starting 9 a.m. are are also qualifiers for the national championship, March 6-9 in Bible Hill, N.S.
Hurricanes head coach Emma Hughes said she’s excited to see how her charges fare.
“Our players have been working hard all season for this weekend. Their hard work and level of dedication is bound to show in their team and individual results,” Hughes said. “It’s bittersweet to end the season with so many wonderful players.”

Josh Doiron and Isabelle Saunders represent the ‘Canes today in singles action. Jonah Wilton and Craig McAskill and Teanna Letkeman and Meredith Harrison play in the doubles event, while Josh Watkins and Kathrine McEwen compete in mixed doubles.
The ‘Canes lineup Sunday becomes Wilton and Letkeman in singles, while Doiron and Avery Woodworth as well as Saunders and McEwen play doubles, and McAskill and Bethany Parkhouse in mixed doubles.
